Terms of Service |
1. The mother should be a Jordanian national with a national number and ID card. |
2. The application for obtaining an identification card for children should be presented by the mother in person. |
3. Application for obtaining identification cards for minor children should be presented by the guardian, if the mother is deceased. |
4. The application for obtaining an identification card should be presented by the adult son if the mother is deceased. |
5. The son should have a legal residence permit in the Kingdom, according to his nationality. |
6. The date of obtaining the Jordanian nationality should be before the birth of any children (naturalization of wives). |
7. Holders of Palestinian travel documents issued from (Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen) should obtain a valid annual residence permit from the Ministry of Interior. |
8. The foreigner father should have a personal number issued from the Borders and Residence Directorate if he doesn’t have temporary Jordanian documents or non-resident proof. |
9. The son should have a personal number issued from the Borders and Residence Directorate for foreigners with non-holders of Jordanian temporary documents. |
Required Documents to Obtain the Service |
Required documents for the mother: |
1. Personal register for children of Jordanian women application form. |
2. A copy of a valid ID card for the mother, if she is alive. |
3. A copy of the original marriage contract/ a marriage certificate from the foreign husband. |
4. A copy of the death certificate (if the mother is deceased). |
5. A divorce certificate (for divorcees). |
6. Yellow Crossing Bridge card for those who need it, or explanations from the Follow-up and Inspection Department. |
7. A certified marriage contract from the embassy / Ministry of Foreign Affairs for those who got married outside the Kingdom, but didn’t document the marriage in one of the Civil Status Offices. |
Required documents for the child, if he has a temporary Jordanian passport |

1. Identification card for children of Jordanian women application form. |
2. A copy of the birth certificate. |
3. A copy of the valid temporary passport. |
4. A copy of the temporary visa for Gaza Strip people, or a valid passport and place or residence in Jordan. |
5. An attested birth certificate from the embassy / Ministry of Foreign Affairs of birth events that took place outside the Kingdom and were not documented in the one of the Civil Status Offices. |
6. Explanations from the Follow-up and Inspection Departments for the people of West Bank, to be written on the same application and stamped, stating he has been a resident for two years. |
7. Explanations on the Blue Card, if the husband is from the Gaza Strip and has a family unification document. |
8. Annual residence card with names of minor children, and separate cards for those who are 16 years old and above. |

3. A copy of the document from the original country of issuance. |
4. An attested birth certificate from the embassy/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs of birth events which took place outside the Kingdom and were not documented in the Civil Status offices. |

Required documents if the child has a passport from the Gulf States |
1. Identification card for children of Jordanian women application form. |
2. A copy of the attested birth certificate. |

4. The child should be a holder of his State’s passport with a stamped place of residence from the police station. |

1. Identification card for children of Jordanian women application form. |
2. A copy of the temporary passport. |
3. Student proof for those who are under 16 years old, if born in Jordan and doesn’t have a passport and his father has a one-year temporary passport. |

5. Explanation from Follow-up and Inspection Department, if the father is a Palestinian according to the computer. |

Required documents for the child, if the husband is a diplomat who works in an embassy in Jordan: |
1. Identification card for children of Jordanian women application form. |
2. A copy of the birth certificate. |
3. A copy of the document from the country of issuance. |
4. A birth certificate attested from the embassy/ Ministry of Foreign Affairs for birth events outside the Kingdom and not documented in the Civil Status offices. |
5. An annual residence card attested from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
6. Proof of residence if the passport has been expired for more than two years, or if the children were born outside the Kingdom. |

Service Procedures |
1. Fill in the application form to go in process according to procedures, and get a number by the Public Service Office. |
2. Match information with the application to verify them and open a file by the Document Acceptance Officer. |
3. Open a new folder with the documents and data that prove the legality of the document and give the applicant a serial number (to obtain the card for the first time). |
4. Send a notification with the number and date of submitting the document to the applicant. |
5. Review the application and determine its legality to the Internal Committee that includes (the Director-General, Office Assistant, Liaison Officer). |
6. If the application is approved: |
1. The approval is entered into the computer. |
2. Accept the document. |
3. Notify the citizen with the approval. |
4. The notification is delivered to the citizens, who pay legal fees. |
5. Deliver a notification to the service recipient to pay the legal fees. |
6. Pay legal fees to the Treasurer. |
7. Refer the application to the Archiving Section. |
8. Refer the application to the Printing Section. |
9. Hand over the card to the service recipient after handing the financial receipt to the Delivery Officer. |
