Terms of Service |
1. The existence of an active account in case of applying electronically. |
2. Obtain a smart ID card for those who are 16 years old and above in case of applying at electronically equipped offices. |
3. Guardians (father, mother), who are registered in the civil registers, have the right to renew passports electronically. |
4. If the applicant isn’t registered in the civil register, he will be added as a beneficiary through the Office Secretary. |
5. A divorcee / widow should bring temporary custody certificate issued for minor children from the Sharia Court. |
6. The guardian should bring a Custody Certificate. |

Service Procedures |
In case of personal attendance |
1. Submit the application by the concerned person (for those who are 18 years old or above) or by head of the family to the Electronic Acceptance Officer, then select issuing a passport service. |
2. Upload the concerned person’s photo on the system through the scanner by the Acceptance Officer. |
3. Address relevant authorities (Mobilization, Follow Up and Inspection Departments) electronically for those who need it. |
4. Print the application for the purposes of obtaining the applicant’s signature and cancelling the old passport. |
5. Archive the application and the special documents and approve them. |
6. Approve the application electronically by the Office Secretary. |
7. Pay legal fees to the Treasurer. |
8. Refer the application to the Printing Section, to print the passport, package it, scan it electronically and send the verification code to the citizen. |
9. Hand over the document to the service recipient to check his /her code. |
In case of choosing e-payment (the same passport office selected when activating the account) |
1. Go to the Department’s website: (eservices.cspd.gov.jo) |
2. Select Issuance of Passport screen. |
3. Check the application by the Electronic Acceptance Officer, and address relevant authorities for those who need it (electronically), when legal replies are received the application is approved. |
4. Archive the application and the special documents, approve them and cancel the old passport. |
5. Approve the application electronically by the Office Secretary. |
6. Pay legal fees to the Treasurer. |
7. Refer the application to the Printing Section, to print the passport, package it, san it electronically and send the verification code. |
8. Hand over the document to the service recipient after checking his/ her verification code. |
In case of paying through e-payment portals and receiving the document in person or choosing a delivery company |
1. Go to the Department’s website: (eservices.cspd.gov.jo) 2. Select Renew Passport screen. |
3. Select e-payment mechanism, (efawateercom or Visa), then choose payment method, and whether to receive the document in person or through a delivery company. |
4. Check the application by the Electronic Data Audit Officer, and address relevant authorities for those who need it (electronically), when legal replies are received the application is approved. |
5. Send a message to the applicant to hand over the old passport to the Electronic Acceptance Office to cancel it, or send a message to the delivery company to collect the passport from the concerned person and deliver it to the Electronic Acceptance Office to be cancelled. |
6. In case of personal attendance, the application is referred to the Office Secretary to pay legal fees. |
In case of choosing e-payment, a message is sent to the applicant to collect legal fees through a reference payment number |
1. Refer the application to the Printing Section after paying fees for printing the passport, package it, scan it electronically and send a message to the citizen: |
To the concerned person to receive the passport, if he chooses to collect it in person |
To delivery company, to notify it of the existence of ready shipments, if the delivery option was chosen. |
2. Hand over the document to the service recipient. |
3. Take the fingerprints of the applicant, if the collection is done in person. |
4. Check the fingerprints and reverse the case of the shipment in the Acceptance Office, if the document was delivered by a delivery company. |

Fees |
1. In case of cash payment: |
- JD20 for the following cases: |
• Members of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Security authorities and Civil Defense employees who participate in Peacekeeping Forces. |
• Members of the Armed Forces, Security authorities and Civil Defense employees in case of changing social status or the military status to civil status or vice versa. |
• Full pages or (6 pages or less). |
- JD25 for those who are under 16 years old. |
- JD50 for an expired passport or one with less than 180 days left to its expiry date. |
- JD100 for the following cases: |

• Those living outside the country. |
• Valid passport for more than six months. |
2. In case of paying through e-portal payment companies and collecting the document in person: |
Payment of legal fees plus 25 piasters if paying through efawateercom or visa. |
3. In case of paying through e-portal payment companies and choosing a delivery company |
Payment of legal fees plus 25 piasters if paying through efawateerom or visa. |
